Prepare for your appointment:
- Your first appointment will be 60- 80 minutes.
- Follow up appointments are typically 40-60 minutes depending on the complexity of the case and the modalities utilized.
- It’s best if you wear loose fitting clothing that provide access to your legs and arms to your acupuncture appointment.
A Peek into your Visit:
Upon arrival, Jessi will greet you and make sure all your paperwork was filled out online and collect all the information for billing your insurance. She will then orient you to the office including showing you where the restrooms are located and our tea station. Enjoy a cup of our “Tea of the Week” while you wait for your provider.
Your first appointment will be about 80 minutes depending on how complicated your history is. We will get a thorough background of your health history and ask you questions all acupuncturists ask like “how are your bowel movements?” and “can we see your tongue?”. To come up with a diagnosis according to Chinese medical patterns, we need to have a complete picture of your body and the systems. That being said if you are coming in with acute pain we may skip some of these details so we can quickly get you out of pain.
At the end of your visit, Jessi will get you checked out and schedule your follow up visits. We recommend booking several in advance as our schedules do fill up pretty fast.
