What does Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine treat? A common question and a loaded one at that. I find it challenging to answer. Because Chinese Medicine is a complete system of medicine, it can be used as primary care medicine. Common colds, headaches, the flu, anxiety, depression, injuries, and many other symptoms that someone presents with. For example, when you get a common cold it is often a virus, Western medicine can do nothing but give medications to mask the symptoms. Not to say that sometimes that is just what we need in our busy and hectic lives. In Chinese Medicine we would give you herbs that are anti-viral in nature and Acupuncture which can then help you body extract the virus out and heal faster. We also are trained to know when to refer to Western Medicine to do further testing if that is what is needed. We have a large referral system set up that we lean on often
