Good news! The Acupuncture insurance parity bill, which many of your wrote letters in support of, passed the Senate this week. Now it’s off to the Governor to sign and it will be enacted by January 2012.
This bill will require insurance companies to pay all licensed providers of Acupuncture to be reimbursed. In the past they were able to choose whom they would cover and whom they would not. This bill will bring more access to patients that have Acupuncture coverage on their insurance policy.
