Similarly, some herbs have been pulled off the US market such as Ephedra or Ma Huang. Ephedra or Ma Huang were taken off when they were misused by a nutritional supplement company for weight loss. But now all the legitimate providers and users have been penalized by them being pulled off. This video tells the struggle that European practitioners are facing.
In the end patients will be the ones who suffer when regulations prevent licensed herbalists from having access to herbs.
