Samantha first discovered acupuncture and Chinese medicine as a patient at an acupuncture clinic in Asheville, North Carolina. Whilst studying health and wellness at the University of North Carolina at Asheville, she saw major improvements in her health and then decided to study and share the medicine that greatly impacted and improved her life. Samantha then earned her Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in Asheville, North Carolina.
Throughout her time at Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts, Samantha has had the great pleasure of studying under Jeffrey Yuen, an 88th generation Daoist priest, as well as Randine Lewis, a world renowned fertility expert & author of The Way of the Fertile Soul. While in school, she studied Classical Chinese medicine, and became fluent in all five channel systems, utilizing whichever channel system that best suited a patient’s particular presentation and constitution.
While Samantha enjoys treating all conditions, she has a particular interest in treating fertility and gynecological related concerns, dermatological issues, gastrointestinal ailments, and chronic pain. Samantha is passionate about utilizing herbal medicine as an adjunct therapy to aid patients in their own healing process and also incorporates food therapy and dietary advice in her practice as well. Samantha is Clean Needle Technique certified, board certified through the NCCAOM, and certified through DORA in the state of Colorado to practice Chinese medicine and acupuncture.
Samantha believes that we can only go as far for patients as we have gone for ourselves. For this reason, she actively incorporates Chinese medicine principles into her everyday life and is dedicated to cultivating her own personal growth. Samantha recently started studying with Damo Mitchell, director of Lotus Nei Gong International, and is a student of the Daoist internal arts. Samantha believes that as health professionals, our studies aren’t over when we graduate, and she is dedicated to continuing her studies and growth in the expanding field of Chinese Medicine.
When Samantha is not in the clinic, she can be found hiking the many trails with her dog and enjoying all the nature Colorado has to offer!
